I have never been a big fan of "New Year's Resolutions" because like many of us, I write them now, get all pumped over them and then 3 weeks into "real life" I think, REALLY? OR I have made my goals so hard to obtain I get stressed out and walk around feeling like a big failure.  So, this year I am going to take a different approach.  I am going to set goals that are REACHABLE and make what's impossible "POSSIBLE".  I know, isn't that the same thing? Kinda!?! But I get tired of thinking that certain things are "impossible" because of my age, level of athleticism or because some young runner is next to me sizing me up! LOL! I need to make things "possible" and no matter what the result, I tried.

Last summer, I ran the Solana Beach Duathlon.  I love the event and the "KOZ Enterprise" group who puts it together.  I run this event every year and I just enjoy it! If you have kept up with my entries, I actually won the women's division for the 2011 Duathlon! I was shocked and never thought it would be "impossible" for me to win ANY event but my 9 year old daughter saw it VERY different and coached me through the entire race!  I was shocked and have been on a "high" for 7 months now.  Can I win another event? I DON'T KNOW but I will get out there for each of my events and do the BEST that I know how!

What are your "impossibles" and how did you make them "possible"! I would LOVE to hear how you did it!

Happy Running!
